Mary Anning remembered

IN LYME Regis earlier walked past the grave of the great fossil collector Mary Anning

and saw daffodils at the foot of her gravestone and wondered why…

The reason, of course, she died on March 9, 1847, aged 47 years old, as old (pretty much) as the nineteenth century, which her discoveries did so much to change.
