If the rocks on stalks that I've only recently seen growing
from a sunken pool are the same as above then I think they've
found an excellent site and look TERRIFIC !
They transform that nothing bit of waste land into a
magical place.
I was truly impressed.

'Does Chav stand for “Council House and Violent”; and those are nearly always scum. No aspirations, no job, living off the state, the girls have about eight kids each by a different father.'

'Ulrika Johnson is known as 4x4 as she has four children by four fathers and she is hardly a 'CHAV'. One can speculate that this is even more unforgivable given that she, and others of her ilk, actually should know better whereas the disadvantaged or unintelligent at least have a legitimate excuse.

One would venture that if every person who lived in social housing was unemployed there would be no-one to clean the streets or serve you at the checkout, having said that, those people very often own their houses - old social housing stock or otherwise. I know, I am one !

The overwhelmingly majority of people from 'Council' estates are upstanding, decent, law abiding employed people. A small minority exist that are lesser than the majority and that is the image people like you run with.

Astonishingly you write as if the 'middle class' doesn't produce abject morons. As if no husband has had a romp with their nanny, ever been Jeffrey Archer, ever been pictured rolling on the grass in Cambridge with their knickers on display and vomiting on the grass, been pictured in the national press hanging from the union flag on the Cenotaph or smashing up Millbank!

Let us remind ourselves how adept the so-called 'middle class' is at tax avoidance whilst importing cheap foreign labour en masse to force British workers into a job auction for the lowest wages with the longest hours, which they invariably lose. Let us also acknowledge how high earners have always traditionally saved up their universal child benefit to take to Harrods. The media reports that the 'middle class' is the biggest producer of home grown cannabis... and you mock the 'Underclass' that YOU have created. Whatever they may be at least they're stupid enough to be transparent and not devious, pretentious, hypocritical pricks putting on a show.

Asinine!

Hi, I was born in Bridport in October 1950 and emigrated to Adelaide, Australia in 1966 with my parents and 2 sisters.

I have fond memories of the Town Hall and remember singing Christmas Carols outside the hall as a young child. I loved to sing!
Also, each child was given a bag of boiled sweets and I can still remember the taste of them (like cough drops...very good too.) I can also still taste the cold night air and feel it reaching my lungs.
This is probably not quite what you are looking for but the memory is very dear to me.

I have found myself reflecting on my life in Bridport today because I have been upset to see the floods that happened last weekend. I do hope that you are over the worst of this and that nobody was hurt.

I have lived in Eype and West Bay. Attended some classes at Symondsbury School and Bridport General and Visitation Convent,Bridport. I now live in Maryland. I was married in 1945 to
an American from the lst. Division who landed on Omaha Beach

I met Annette Mills when she was convalescing from an automobile accient she had sufferred in London. I typed some personal correspondence for her. Annette was staying in Little Cottage next door to Ivy Cottage where I lived. Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh had visited Ivy Cottage for a short visit. Their names and comments were in the Visitors Book there- something written in
french- something like "Une petit and charmant cottage."

I am delighted that this website is up and running and will keep in touch.

Ok. So public access to the beach may be protected but has anyone realised that this right of access becomes a moot point if parking facilities are removed and no parking is allowed? Thus making the beach accessible to the few members of the public who are able bodied enough to walk God knows how far from the nearest parking? Don't think this won't happen either.
